Here is a little poem I wrote. Maybe some of you can relate. Go with the Angels!

THIS JOURNEY

My brain has hit overload
in this journey called life.
I’m tired of going through
the pain, grieving, and strife.

I know without pain
that I would never grow.
I’m twenty feet tall
from my head to my toes.

My heart feels like
it’s sunk deep in my gut.
I don’t like being
down in this rut.

But I’m walking through this life,
the valleys and hills
Without drownng my pain
with alcohol and pills.

I’m trudging up this road
one step at a time.
And with God’s help,
this mountain I will climb.

I stumble and fall and
want to travel no more.
I clean up my wounds and
patch up my sores.

I ask for God’s strength
to help me, just today
To go forward on this path
and not to wander or stray.

He guides me with a light
that comes from deep within.
It is a gift from God
and only from Him.

This journey called life
has many treasures to hold.
They’re out there for everyone,
the young and the old.

If I would open my eyes,
God’s beauty I would see.
The sunrise, the mountains,
the sky and the sea.

Help me, O God,
to receive all of your love.
For this is one blessing
which comes from above.

Help me to love others
to be forgiving and kind.
And to carry your message
One day at a time.

I love this web page and I'll visit more and put a click through on our page at Treutlan House. We're a recovery house for men, we'll be having weekly on line meetings and archived step studies that one can visit any time, and a chat room.

I remember all my pains and hurts,
I once thought not to feel at all.
To avoid all feeling.
Better, I surmised, than to feel and allow hurtupon myself.
Better to do nothing, than to make a move,
And have it be the wrong one.

To make no decisions.....
Is a decision in itself.
And a decision to avoid pain,
Is to deny those who love me.

This way of living , is not living is not living at all.
Life is somtimes painful.
If I seal myself away inside barriers,
I seal out love with the pain.

I built a wall to cage myself.
I locked things out, and locked myself in.
I'm terribly busy these days....
Tearing down walls.

This is a wonderful site and thanks to all who worked to make it a reality. Its almost as good as a meeting

I'm grateful to a loving God of my understanding that has sort fit to restore me to sanity today. I can now use these 12 steps to work on life issues so I may live in His will one day at a time. Wouldn't Bill and Bob be proud of this web site which allows us to further carry the message to those outside.

Dear friends at Nashville:

Want to say this is great.... I am taking over as the new Office manager at the District 17 central office......We are in needs of some help setting up Guidelines and some other important mission statement material so that we are all on the same page as to the responsbilities of the central office. As far as anyone knows, no one has ever set up any By-Laws here, as you have there. Is there any possibility that we may get a copy of your by-laws to use as a guide for our intergroup and central office? It would be a great help. We are also interested in setting up a home page and may ask for your expertise in that area when we are ready to do so........

Thank you in advance

Wow, what a wonderful way to say hi to Nashville and the surrounding area. I got sober in Nashville a few 24 hours back and obviously the Nashville area has a special place in my heart, I came back to Ky. back in July of 94 to get closer to my children that live here in Central Ky. This was a move that was made possible only by God and AA and I am so grateful to be a part of your family. For the newcomers, this is just a brief description of what can happen in your life if you stay sober and work for peace in your heart. Godbless you all and I would love to get e-mail from any of you in the Nashville area, especially those of you that attend meetings at 202.

But we aren't a glum lot.....If newcomers could see no joy or fun in our existence, they wouldn't want it.....So we think cheerfulness and laughter make for usefulness.

GREETINGS, I LOVE THIS SITE. THANKS TO ALL WHO ARE SUPPORTIVE AND HAVE HELPED IN MAKING THIS A REALITY. MY HATS OFF TO YOU ALL.

I HAVE A QUESTION?

TRADITION 11 PG. 566 BIG BOOK

" OUR RELATIONS WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC SHOULD BE CHARACTERIZED BY PERSONAL ANONYMITY. WE THINK A.A. OUGHT TO AVOID SENSATIONAL ADVERTISING. OUR NAMES AND PICTURES AS A.A. MEMBERS OUGHT NOT BE BROADCAST, FILMED, OR PUBLICLY PRINTED. OUR PUBLIC RELATIONS SHOULD BE GUIDED BY THE PRINCIPLE OF ATTRACTION RATHER THAN PROMOTION. THERE IS NEVER NEED TO PRAISE OURSELVES. WE FEEL IT BETTER TO LET OUR FRIENDS RECOMMEND US.

WITH THE RISK OF BEING A LITTLE IGNORANT. I WONDER IF PUTTING OUR NAMES ON LINE IS A BREECH OF OUR TRADITIONS?

THIS IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND PERSONALLY I WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT TRADITION 11. I WITH RESPECT ASK FOR YOUR REPLIES TO THIS QUESTION.

DO WE DARE TO POST OUR NAMES ON THE INTERNET IDENTIFYING OURSELVES AT THE PUBLIC LEVEL?

REPLY TO ...HJLQ62A@PRODIGY.COM....

THANKS FOR BEING HERE AND LETTING ME BE HERE TOO.

When we're willing to be of service to AA, be it making coffee, filling a seat at meetings, cleaning up, greeting a newcomer, representing our home group at the various service levels, we get to meet wonderful people in AA whose recovery depends on passing this message on. Ralph, you're one of those folks I value. This cyberworld journey has been just one more fascinating thing I've learned along my sober path. I think we've found a great tool to put in our toolbox! Yes, old dogs can learn new tricks, thanks to AA and a higher power who continues to reveal new things to us every day. All we have to do is pay attention and be willing.

Well, I suppose I'll be the first to make my mark on this pristine wall ;-)

I am just really grateful that, thru the grace of a God of my understanding, I have been able to remain sober today and be a part of many exciting things, such as the construction of this web site.

Since undertaking this project, I have been introduced to many wonderful people in the fellowship that I may have never have came in contact with otherwise; for that I am grateful as well.

My sobriety has been a fantastic journey so far, I have truly seen what can be done as long as I am willing to let go and let Him run the show.

May God bless you all.
