Great web page. We have a member possibly moving to Tenn. and she said she was having a problem finding any information on Tenn. I went thru NY and found it right away. She was interested in the Crossville area, so if Sharon shows up at a meeting, tell her Roger says HI.

The twelve step community lost a giant with the passing of Joe McQuany October 26th, from pneumonia. I spent a week with this gentle giant at one of his seminars during the summer of 2001 in Little Rock Arkansas. I still remember this as being some of the best days I've ever had in my journey towards recovery. He was sober since March 10, 1961 and helped thousands just like me. May he rest in eternal peace. 2 days ago I was blessed to be at the bedside of a dear friend who would have been sober 13 yrs in Dec. Monday morning she passed away from a long and chronic battle with diease that originated in addictions. She was an amazing woman, and truly worked the steps and program. I was blessed to be able to go to Atlanta to be with her and was holding her hand and singing Amazing Grace when she went home. The easier softer way...finally. I am blown away by the gratitude I feel for having been a small part and for her family welcoming me in at such a hard time. There were many miracles in those couple days, and by willingly doing the next right thing I was able to share them with this amazing family. Thank you God, for sobriety, your kindness and for my dear friend Pam H. But Thank you most of all for your Grace that allows those who are willing, to be Sober, Happy,Joyous and Free!

I'm freshly detoxed again. No job, no car, no license. I'm stuck at home and struggling to stay clean. Anyone want to bring a newcomer to a meeting? I need to get to a meeting and more importantly I need someone to lead me through these steps so that I can stay sober. My life depends on it.

I've been in Nashville working for several weeks I'm so grateful to be able to feed my soul through meetings wherever I go. Sober since May 2, 1992 and life just keeps getting better. I love the WALL it reminds me of a Pink Floyd song... but it's obviously much more spiritual All in all I'm just another brick in the wall...For all of you newcomers just don't give up before the miracle happens. Lord, make me a channel of Thy peace. See ya at a meeting!

haven't slept going into Day Three but the applause I got at my first meeting when they heard "two days" and the first time I said out loud, "I AM an alcoholic" and I've never felt more relief. Yes, terrified, too much coffee, cigs, weird weird feelings just quit grass too but it's going to be O.K. right? Right. This is a beautiful thing and I hope the two I love that are starting this as well can see the beauty in freedom. This wall was just amazing to read.

HELP HELP HELP OLD TIMER I'm sober 22 years in AA and have attended over 10,000 AA meetings. Recently we allowed CA to use the room for their meetings. We now conduct our "AA" meetings with the CA twelve steps and twelve traditions and bulleting board displayed clearly on the walls during our AA meeting. Is this against The AA Traditions? Shouldn't we cover these during our AA meeting to stop confusion for any newcomer to AA? Please HELP ME SOON...as we have a group conscience meeting Monday...July 16th.
